Player Code of Conduct
Here at RBT Cali Gold, we hold ourselves and our players to high standards.

How you show up matters
These are just a few of the things we expect from those who wear the Cali Gold name. We don’t just drill skills; we equip our youth players with the tools to achieve their very best every day, and that starts with mindset.
Register for FallAttitude & Effort
There are 2 things you can control in basketball and in life:
1. Your Attitude 🪞
How do you handle the situation that occurs: missing a shot, the ref making a bad call, a teammate turning the ball over, etc. What type of attitude do you have when unexpected or disappointing things happen? This is something you have complete control over.
2. Your Effort 🚀
What effort do you bring after the situation has occurred? Do you run back on defense after missing a shot, or do you put your head down? Do you put your hands up in the air letting the ref know he missed a call, or do you get ready for the next play? Do you yell at your teammate for turning the ball over, or do you encourage him with positivity? At the end of the day, you’re in charge of your attitude and effort—no one else has that power.
The 5 E's
• ⚡ Effort – Approach each day and everything you do with your best effort. The best YOU specifically can give! And that might look different every day.
• 🌊 Energy – Energy is everywhere, and it’s one of the most powerful tools you have. Whatever you think or tell yourself, you’re right. That mindset can either build you up or break you down. Choose thoughts that fuel you, and bring energy that lifts the people around you. When you nourish your mind with positivity, your emotions work for you instead of against you.
• ☀️ Enthusiasm – Wake up each day with enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is having intense excitement and inspiration for something. Don’t just bring that excitement to basketball, bring it to everything throughout your day. Start your day with a mindset that’s positive and enthusiastic and continue that mindset throughout the day. Only you can do that.
• 🎯 Execution – After effort, energy, and enthusiasm comes action. Set your goals, make a plan, and follow through with consistency and purpose. Create your own circumstances and go out and DO IT!
• 💨 Exhaustion – A player once said, “Coach, after we do all that, we’re exhausted.” That’s how you know you gave it your all.
